THE MUSICIAN

Peggy Johnson was awarded the Doctor of Musical Arts Degree in Organ Performance from the University of Cincinnati (College-Conservatory of Music) as a student of Dr. Roberta Gary. She currently holds the appointment as the Organist and Choir-Master at Gethsemane Episcopal Cathedral in Fargo, ND. In the fall of 2009, she will serve on the faculty at Concordia College, Moorhead, MN where she will teach music theory. She also serves as the District Convenor for the Region VI American Guild of Organists (North Dakota), Dean of the Red River Valley Chapter and on the faculty of the Leadership for Parish Musicians program in NW Minnesota-Eastern ND.

Dr. Johnson is in demand as a recitalist, lecturer, and adjudicator. Along with teaching courses in music theory, organ performance, and church music, she presents workshops on topics such as new music for the organ, Mozart's "Epistle Sonatas", and church music program development. She presented a workshop entitled "Sunday Comes Every Seven Days" for the 2008 national convention of the American Guild of Organists. Her recent concert appearances include the US, Denmark, and in the Czech Republic.



THE ANDOVER EDUCATOR

As a certified Andover Educator, Dr. Johnson completed her training in 2005 with Barbara Conable, founder of Andover Educators. Dr. Johnson is available to teach individual and group lessons in body mapping and is available for workshops and other presentations.

As an Andover Educator, Peggy teaches the six-hour course in two working formats; What Every Musician Needs to Know About the Body and a more specialized What Every Organist Needs to Know About the Body. Additionally, Dr. Johnson teaches a 2-hour Introduction to Body Mapping workshop and she is available to present multi-day workshops as well as individualized coaching in Body Mapping practices.
